PRIMARY CARE PARAMEDIC
Job Description:
Reporting to the EMS Operations Manager the Primary Care Paramedic (PCP) is responsible for responding to emergent and
non-emergent EMS calls for service; and for providing initial assessment, treatment, stabilization and transport of ill or
injured persons at the Basic Life Support level.
The Saskatchewan Health Authority has employment opportunities for casual, part time and permanent full-time Primary
Care Paramedics (PCP) across the province.
Requirements and Qualifications:
• Primary Care Paramedic diploma (PCP)
• International Trauma Life Support Certificate (ITLS)
• Registered Emergency Medical Technician/Primary Care Paramedic (EMT/PCP)
• Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation Certificate / Automated External Defibrillator Certificate (AED/CPR – BLS (HCP)
• Valid Class 4 driver's license
Pay and Benefits:
• Wages: $29.90 - $36.57/hr
• Defined-benefit Pension Plan
• Paid Annual Vacation (starting at 3 weeks/yr)

EMERGENCY MEDICAL RESPONDER

OPPORTUNITIES IN SASKATCHEWAN EMERGENCY MEDICAL RESPONDER

An Emergency Medical Responder provides emergency medical care for patients including assessing, patient care, transferring and transporting. Qualifications:

• Emergency Medical Responder certificate (EMR)

• 18 years of age or older • Grade 10 Memberships and Licenses:

• Obtain a practicing license from the Saskatchewan College of Paramedics (SCoP)

• Valid Class 4 driver's license Salary and Benefits:

• Pay Band Emergency Medical Responder $22.60 to $24.21

• Defined Benefit and Pension Plan

• Paid Annual Vacation
